ROCA®Test

The ROCA Test is a simple blood test that detects the likelihood of a woman having ovarian cancer now. It uses age, menopausal status, risk status and serial blood measurements of CA-125 levels over time to produce a score that indicates her risk of having ovarian cancer. Clinical trials of over 200,000 women have shown it to be the most accurate initial screening test for ovarian cancer available. It has been found to detect ovarian cancer at an earlier stage and its use may reduce mortality from ovarian cancer (this needs confirming with longer follow-up of the women studied in a very large clinical trial).
